MDD 93/42 EECSince early 2007, KCS has worked extensively within the Medical Laboratory sector where they have provided Consultancy, Interim QA Manager and Training services to Pathology and Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging Departments as they work towards obtaining UKAS accreditation to ISO 15189 or the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI). In 2014, KCS led the first Histology Laboratory in the UK to achieve UKAS ISO 15189 Accreditation. KCS has delivered its highly-regarded Pathology Internal Auditor Training Course to over 2000 BMSs throughout the UK and Europe. KCS until recenly wholly owned and operated EDKEN Ltd and EDKEN Consulting (Ireland) Ltd - Companies who had provided the service of “Authorised Representative” to non-EEC based manufacturers and that similiar service of "Responsible Person" to non-UK based suppliers of medical devices to the UK.
